With the purpose bringing DeFi content creators together to work on content marketing campaigns for protocols.
After several campaigns we were able to show social media stats, views, retweets etc. But the bottom line in DeFi happens onchain. We did our first KPI based campaign with bonuses for TVL. We had no reliable way to attribute TVL deposited from our audience so total TVL was used as a measurement. We started working on a way to show the exact effect of our campaigns.
0xkowloon wrote a small script to send back UTM tags along with the address of a visitor for our campaign with Degens farm. We were able to see when a “bag” was minted because a user clicked on one of our links.
Genomes DAO raised on Sushiswaps Miso. We needed a way to track our content marketing results. To learn how much we helped to raise. We couldn’t put our script on the Miso sale page so we created an alternative landing page to capture the address of a user who intended to participate in the sale.
We could prove events that happened onchain were because of our marketing efforts & show the impact on any goal by each creator. This opened up the possibility for results based affiliate campaigns which could scale campaigns beyond the scope of a limited budget. Incentivised marketing campaigns could be permissionless because the client would be paying based on results.
